This is my nightmare scenario I thought of:
Trump does not like his new job. He is 70 years old and unless you believe his personal physician, he doesn't seem to be very healthy. I often like to think of Trump as a physical manifestation of everything people hate about Americans.
So it is more than likely that he could keel over from a heart attack. It is a nightmare scenario for me, because, men are almost deified after they die. I could see Pence and the GOP cronies using this as a "unifying" moment. If you read my other post about Pence becoming president, I am extremely concerned that he will call for a Constitutional Convention.
Am I being paranoid? Is any of this really that far out of the realm of possibility? If Pence became president, he would need only 2 of the 6 split State Legislatures to have the votes to enact Article V (Constitutional Convention) That is assuming that all 32 GOP held Legislatures signed on.
Other than just saying, "it probably won't happen" explain to me why the GOP in this scenario would not make an ultimate grab of power, and change the Constitution?
