Like "Chain" used to say in their song: Grab a snatch and hold it!

Is that what it really is, KUSA?

I don't know. I'm not familiar with that. Has anyone here tried it? Did it feel good?

I used to drink.
Now I drink and take meds.
Jk. I don't drink as I used to. Now I sleep. That's what I do. I sleep. Also, I have become addicted to baby carrots.

I try to remind myself of what it is that I'm passionate about: what differentiates me from others and how can I embody that despite the fact that I am coming up short in this particular instance? Also, if I'm getting knocked on my rear end, I try to remind myself that I won't always have all of the answers and that there's no shame in asking for help and learning from others. IMO, this has always been a better option than just quitting and walking away with a bruised ego. In addition, when I'm barely holding it together and am failing in some way, I try and keep the following thought in mind: no reasonable, rational person would ever expect me to be perfect in every context. Therefore, when faced with a challenge that is putting me on the edge, I try and remind myself that I'm just a person and even the best of us just need to take a break and let things go for a while. As a result, regardless of success or failure, I have found that letting myself relax and ponder the situation in peace at least provided me with a better understanding of the situation and allowed me to grow from it in some way.
In addition, I also find that watching one of my favorite movies also helps me out, as it allows me to let go, relax, and not take myself so seriously.

In the past I would have reached for lots of food - more sugar, please.
The article below talks about exercise as self-medication.
I find that the more I physically move, even if it's without a specific purpose, the less chance anxiety has to chase me down and beat me up. Keeping my brain busy helps, too.
What do you do when you're just barely holding it together?
Quote:"What do you do, reader, when the imps of agitation are upon you? When they’re running up and down your insides, each with his little wavering bouffant of blue flame, making the present tense an almost impossible place to be? Do you have a drink? Take a pill? Reach for your laptop? Shovel a drooping, dripping slice of pizza into your face? Because if America—as John Updike beautifully observed—is a conspiracy to make you happy, it is also a conspiracy to make you anxious, violent, horny, and obese."

I go to the gym and kick the shit out of a punching bag for a very long time.
Until I'm on the point of collapse sometimes.
In my old job people knew not to come near me if they saw me doing that, though some youngsters had to learn the hard way.
