I admire Leonardo da Vinci as the greatest scientist ever.
We don't know for sure whether he was a theist or a deist never the less God was in his mind.
The list of theists scientists is very very long.
Just click in your search engine to see.

I'll tell you why you won't do that... because material things do give us happiness.
Most people are much happier with:
food to eat
water to drink
a car to travel from place to place with
a warm home to stay in
a soft bed to sleep on
hobbies to occupy their time (more often than not, having a hobby means possessing material objects)
If materialism is so useless, folks would simply make sure their basic needs were met, then spend the whole day staring at a blank wall.
The times when materialistic endeavors becomes useless is when people have some issue in life they're not dealing with and attempt to fill some void by shopping or by falling into that trap where they're trying to "keep up with the Jones," so to speak. If you are inherently unhappy in life, no amount of money or material possessions will help your state of mind until you deal with whatever is bothering you. Material things do bring us happiness though.
If you can't spend time alone with yourself in your own head, that's a reflection of something being wrong with you, not material possessions.
I, for one, tend to consider myself a materialist, but I'm also a bit of a minimalist, if that makes sense. I love my material possessions but I keep my things to a limited amount. I probably don't own more than 50 things in this world to be completely honest.
So you worked out that LR said that materialism is useless, did you Ace?
WRONG once again Ace.
LR never said that so stop imaging things.
LR instead said that human beings are Trifarious in nature.
Trifarious definition: facing in three different directions
Material-physical, mental and spiritual.
That means that by feeding only one or two of these natural tendencies and neglect the rest there would naturally arise an imbalance in the person or society when most people follow this imbalanced way of life.
So materialism is not evil in nature but become evil once it is taken as the main object of our
tendencies and when we neglect mind and spirit.

But let me put in simple terms what is and is not logic.
Most people feel satisfied after eating or after having sex or after they got a new car.
Unfortunately this feeling of satisfaction doesn't last very long indeed.
After a short time that feeling goes away and the action need to be done once again and again and again.
In this way most people think that this repetition is the way to go and therefore it is logic and make sense.
This is not logic.
Logic is when the feeling of satisfaction is permanent not temporary.
Smart people come to understand that physical-material things can not possibly bring a permanent
state of peace of mind and happiness that is why they work on actions that fulfill a state of permanent
feeling.
Peace of mind come from within so the work need to be done within.
Forget about an external God.
The real God is you and is all within.
You only need to understand who you are, all the rest will follow.
You know, it's dumbass apologist wannabes like you that ruin it for the rest of us True Christians .
OK, the first thing you need to do when you propose an argument for God is make up your mind WHICH argument you're going to present. You think you can remember that?
You start with the Presuppositionalist approach but then swerve off into the "cross shaped hole in the heart". Make up your mind.
To help you out, I'm going to map out both arguments.
Presuppositionalism
1. Logic is a thing, didn't you know?
2. Since it's a thing, it must come from God.
3. You can't prove logic without using logic because I'm going to call that "circular reasoning"
4. Neener, neener, you don't know everything.
5. Therefore, Jesus.
6. This argument can't be used to prove any other God because Jesus holds the patent on it.
Cross Shaped Hole In Your Heart
1. No Jesus, no peace.
2. Know Jesus, know peace.
3. What do you mean "bare assertion fallacy"?
4. Therefore, Jesus.
5. This argument can't be used to prove any other God because Jesus holds the patent on it.
But here's my favorite argument for Jesus:
Every Three Step Argument for God Ever
1. Snip quack Rurhrrr snoop jupita jupita bing lang gaboing
2. Nobody has every disproven #2.
3. Therefore, Jesus.
Checkmate atheists.
Dumbass phony Christian.
