The Holy Bible - fact or fiction?

The whole world was flooded once.
Scientists have proved that.
The Bible tells you that in detail.

Even if this were true (which it's not), this wouldn't be an example of telling "the true future."

You don't seem to understand what prophecy is, much less what would make a valid prophetic fulfillment. Given that, you are in no position to speak on behalf of the bible's ability to foretell the future. If you don't know what makes prophecy, on what basis can you claim the bible has fulfillment of such?

As for exact dates, here is just one scripture that answers that question:
" But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

This fits the times were in also:
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God."

I see your partial Psalm 14 and raise you Matthew 5:22:

"But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

But of course your posturing is misguided, because atheism at its most basic is not the statement "there is no god". You should be asking yourself why you need to distort and misrepresent us in order to make your arguments work.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Stmbo..
You said " atheism at its most basic is not the statement "there is no god"."
So you atheists believe there IS a God ?
If not, what is the "most basic" ?

No. Atheism at its most basic means "I don't believe in a god or gods." That's not the same as saying "there is no god." Can you spot the difference?
I don't believe you. Get over it.

No, atheism isn't a belief at all. It's the singular response to theism - a-theism, not-theism. It is the position of "I withhold belief in gods until there is sufficient evidence to support belief". Individual atheists may or may not take it further into active belief in no gods, but that's not atheism.

She made it clear. I don't see how you cant comprehend such a short simple sentence.

"There is no god"

Is the same as

"There is no God"

Is the same as

"There is no Allah"

Is the same as

"There is no Yahweh"

Is the same as

"There is no Vishnu"

Is the same as

"There is no Apollo"

Is the same as

"There is no Santa"

A theist of any label doesn't get to project their desire for us to believe in fiction as if it were a denial or emotional rejection of such fiction. We don't give your pet deity claim any special treatment nor any of any religion.

The only place the super natural exists is in the brain of the person who swallowed it without question.

She was saying there is no good reason to buy into it. Nothing more.

Jörmungandr ....
If the Bible says something happened and it actually did, you still don't believe that the flood happened?
Since it did, read the Bible section about the flood that God told Noah years before it occurred.

You fools have failed to produce evidence for your god.... or any of the other thousands of gods that the human imagination has invited throughout history.  When you come up with some let us know and we'll evaluate it.

BTW, your bible is not evidence.  Your silly bible is the claim that has no evidence to sustain it.  It is just a pile of superstitious shit.

No it did not. Other religions and even ones completely independent of yours have flood mythology. The Epic of Gilgamesh is also a flood myth. In his story he is warned of an impending flood, builds a boat to save his family and livestock.

Humans back then were not worldwide travelers so a local flood could seem like the entire world to them. There was never a worldwide flood as the bible would have you believe, it is scientifically impossible.
