Ham's Barge is Empty

RE: Ham's Barge is Empty
My disappoint, thought this was going to be an Alasdair thread of some kind . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Just think about how stupid you have to be to lose money pandering to Christians in this country.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

IKR? A lot of them seem to be willing to fork over 10%, even if it means poverty, while the churches get wealthier.

I think they already have a stand in for that. Suppose to sail into San Diego. Sure hope The Empress gets home in time for that. For the laugh, not the ride, you ninnies!

And he made a lame attempt to cover the barge with glue on wood. But couldn't do the curves, so he just didn't bother.

So, seaworthiness. That has to be a thing, amirite? I suppose that's why they're planning on putting it on a barge, eh? What exactly is the point?

They put it on a barge because it would fall apart if built to spec. Big wave with both ends in the air, it snaps in half. Two big waves with the middle in the air, it snaps in half. A barge is built to take that kind of abuse.

One of the pitfalls for him in receiving tax rebates based on the attendance of his park is that he is open to FOIA requests about how much the state is paying him. If the park were full and people were travelling from all over to see it, then those rebates would be huge.

They are very much not huge.

The park was eligible for $18.5 million in rebates over 10 years, if Ham's ridiculous estimates were accurate. That's 1.85 million a year, on average. Keep in mind, the first year was supposed to be more than the average, with attendance levelling off after two years or so.

So, with the park open for about 9 months so far, we should see over $1.3 million in rebates. $3,700. Even if we just assume this is a monthly rebate, we're still looking at below $50k in rebates.

Hopefully American Atheists will buy it to make it their offices.

id turn it into a skating park and keep all the stuff. Who whouldn't want to do a kick flip in front of a t rex.
