Nope, just been interested in American politics for a while now.
Checks and balances are a great thing for democracy and at least seem to be working to some extent today.  RE: Trump's White House "Looked into" the gutting of the First Amendment.

I'm not sure how to answer the question, since it doesn't really correlate well with the video and what's being said. However the 1st amendment is the most important protection we have and it's also an important ideal to hold up in our personal lives too. So any attempt to chip away at it should be fought.
