OK, what legal distinctions do you see between citizens and non-citizens?

Not my question, but I'll answer: they cannot access the same menu of benefits that citizens can. Non-citizens (assuming they're working, which the overwhelming majority are) pay taxes, but cannot vote.

That doesn't mean that they aren't covered by the 14th Amendment, because as noted above, the 14th Amendment was specifically written to cover non-citizens as the institution of slavery was dismantled.

They're not actually seeing that. They saw the presidency switch parties after 8 years, like it usually does. That's it.

I'd say it's been going on for much longer than 8 years. No-fault divorce, abortion, the rise of single-parent households, gay marriage, now transgender issues. These are just off the top of my head. So, yes, many on the right actually are seeing their America slip away.
