Well it's not so different then when you get in conversation with religious people here on this forum and they start to explain you "science" and how it intertwines with god.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Guess they have a really great excuse for those air planes that fly around the world. Not that I'm interested in that level of crazy, but hey. Whatever makes em happy I guess.

"Flat Earth" is not a joke. There are thousands of Americans who are seriously digging their heels in about this.

If the earth was flat there would be sight seeing tours to the edge. Maybe bungee jumping off the edge.
