The danger with someone busting a cap on the chump is that it can possibly become open season on politicos. I'd appreciate it if someone were to spill whatever it is that attracts male alligators to the females by the bucketful, there in Mar-a-Lago.

Precisely. A living Trump is divisive enough -- if someone were to assassinate him, even if the murderer were arrested or killed on the spot there would be a lot of red-hats locking and loading, avenging their hero by killing perceived enemies at every possible opportunity. I do hope that the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him are top notch, to prevent such a shitstorm.

The inevitable fatal heart attack or stroke that he has somehow managed to avoid so far will still have some of his supporters locking and loading. Scalia wasn't even the object of a worshipful cult and they were convincing themselves his heart attack was an assassination.
