I could counter with testimonials of people who claim to have been abducted by aliens, witnessed politicians faces lose their electronic masks and reveal lizard faces, and countless yeti sightings. By your logic we must accept those as true. If you do not think all of the eyewitness accounts I mentioned above are true by what rationale do you discern between those and your jiggly sun accounts?

Haffert received his high school and college education at Mt. Carmel College, a Carmelite seminary and then began his career as an author and lecturer. Haffert was the co-founder of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima, a Roman Catholic Marian Society which was approved by Pope Pius XII and has about 25 million members worldwide.[1] Haffert was assisted in the creation and Daily operations of Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima by Father Venard Poslusney[2] He was the editor of "Scapular Magazine" which helped enroll one million Americans in the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima and pray for the Soviet Union.[3]
Haffert was a strong advocate of the message of Our Lady of Fatima and he worked with Fatima visionary Sister Lucia dos Santos to develop the "Fatima Pledge" in 1946. This later became the "Blue Army Pledge", in 1948.[4] Haffert spoke often on topics concerning the Miracle of the Sun. One of Haffert's books: "That Wonderful Poem", endorses The Poem of the Man God by Maria Valtorta, in which he explains how the Bishop of Fatima introduced him to these writings.
Haffert died at 86 in the United States.

I read the book and was thoroughly unimpressed.  Even Haffert can't explain why the so-called "miracle" was not observed by residents of a town within 10 miles from Fatima, but focuses a lot on a handful of "witnesses" (under 10 in total) that were 20 to 40 miles away.  Here's an example of confirmation bias from the 2016 terrorist attack and massacre at the Pulse LGBT night club in Florida:

An unnamed police academy classmate said Mateen asked him out around 2006, that they had spent time at gay bars together after class, and that he believed Mateen was gay.[121] He also described him as "socially awkward" and disliked by classmates.[122] A man who self-identified as Mateen's lover-of-two-months, "Miguel", stated that he believed the massacre was out of revenge against Latino men when Mateen learned he may have been exposed to HIV from a Puerto Rican man with whom he had sex.[123][124][125] Mateen's autopsy results, however, showed that he was HIV-negative.[116] At least four regular Pulse customers reported having seen Mateen visit the nightclub on no fewer than a dozen occasions.
