I've posted it before but it seems appropriate:
hahahaha. I swear, I'm only like that ONE week out of the month... What's god's excuse?

God in her foursome needs to learn what my roommate and I do - as we're not on the same schedule. Recognize when the other is on the rag and stay the hell in each other's own rooms. Or help each other out and keep a bottle of Polish vodka in the freezer.

Its easy to attack something, one does not understand.
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.
You dont hate God, you hate the church game.

It's also easy to post formulaic phrases. But let's roll with it - actually it isn't, because you see, to truly be funny about something, you have to understand it. And we were trying to be funny, to the best of our ability, without understanding why anyone still subscribes to what we consider to be bullshit.

It is easy to imagine one understands something that does not exist.

I understand it, Im not saying it isnt funny. Im just saying creationists do the same thing. My brother was not a monkey! They even have comedians making evolution funny, but they attack it because they dont understand it. People do the same with God, they have too much baggage to understand.

One does not know if God does or does not exist, so one should be careful with ones statements.

I don't see what baggage has to do with this funny (maybe not for you, but for most of us) image. The whole "no one knows" idea is foolish. No human has had or does have the perception to witness any god or objective truth. The argument itself is defeated by the fact that one should not have to debate whether god(s) exist or not, because there was never a human who could reach out of his/her own meager, subjective perception to witness such things as objective morality and god. Who's heard anything of god other than from other humans? Exactly.....mere folktales really. Could there be a creator? Maybe....but creation is something humans do, and there's never been any proof. Sounds like anthropomorphizing to me.

Philosophical, theological, ethical etc.
Quote:The whole "no one knows" idea is foolish.
No one knows that quantum mechanincs are real, humans just say effects and causes and make theories based on that.

Saying no human knows any absolute truth, is saying that humans do know a absoulte truth.

Why not?
Quote:Who's heard anything of god other than from other humans? Exactly.....mere folktales really.
How do we know that? What about Jesus?

You're answering an unknown with an unknown.
