I concur with Min, the parents were somewhat lax in having their kid there.  Might already be some damage accrued as a result, although I hope not.

And I'd bet a dime the 'school' does not give a rat's ass if any other students parents are divorce whores.  If they did the hit to the school coffers would be too high, better to make a scene with the occasional LGBT situation and make a shit storm about that and make people think you're the real deal instead of going to all the bother of actually being the real deal.
