If you want an official staff response you best make an official staff inquiry in an appropriate place for such. As far as here I'm just giving my personal opinion.

I made my post in the "Questions, Problems, Suggestions, and Feedback" where else am I supposed to make it
Yeah, and the response I get is "then go post on reddit" (from a admin). What am I supposed to take from this? -__-
Ah, so you did. I personally would suggest here: https://atheistforums.org/forum-80.html
If you get an official staff response in this thread, you can be sure it will be marked as such.
Ok then can you at least move this thread over there?
I don't think so because people have already responded to it and it would be moving it to a place where they can't see it anymore.
But this is an acceptable place to post questions too I think. I just forgot we had a questions subforum that could be seen by everyone.
As this has been voted on by staff before, yes, the official staff response is that we will keep the post edit limit at 120 mins.
Personally, I can count on one hand the number of times where this has been an issue for someone outside of them having a legitimate reason to edit their posts. You'll get past it.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Ok Losty I'll wait for a official response then (August 11, 2017 at 12:30 am)SteelCurtain Wrote: As this has been voted on by staff before, yes, the official staff response is that we will keep the post edit limit at 120 mins. Good! If it's such a rare occurrence you'll take requests then, yeah? Quote:I wrote a post and after a few hours I come back to check on it and I spot a small but highly significant mistake in my post. Go back in, copy the post, re-post with the correction and then, at the end, humbly beg the pardon of anyone who gives a flying fuck. That should cover it.
Pool....
Pick your battles. Remember, you aren't required to show up to every argument you are invited to. Now I know you started this thread, but you've been given an official answer as well as some pretty darn good advice on here.... My suggestion for you from now on is to click on "Preview post" before you submit it. There you can spend as much time as you like editing it and doing whatever to it, until you are ready for the rest of the world to read it. Fair enough? Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.

That's actually a pretty nice idea. So staffs.. I can do this, right? You guys won't ban me or something for it yeah? Nymphadora Wrote:Fair enough? I 100% respect your opinion but you know I'm not picking a fight or anything it's just a harmless suggestion |
