I may get a lot of heat for this, but here it goes

RE: I may get a lot of heat for this, but here it goes
She didn't promise to leave the country; she promised to leave the fucking PLANET; to be fair, that pronouncement happened the day Trump declared his candidacy, and he was a long shot at best at that point.

Then again, to say interplanetary travel is still in its infancy is too generous, with nobody having landed on another celestial body since the days of Nixon, and that was only the moon. Terraformation is a pipe dream at this point, and given that she picked Jupiter, a gas giant with intense gravity that lacks an actual surface, for-fucking-get it!

That's right, thank you. I got Cher confused with Leena Dunham and Miley Cyrus who said they would leave the US, and added that they mean what they say to make sure people would know it was not just a joke or a throw away comment. If it was an American saying they would leave the US because of the health care system or because they're trans and trans people are treated better elsewhere, or something like that then that would be understandable. Rich celebs are not going to suffer through a Trump Presidency however. They are rich as hell and have everything they need, so them threatening to leave the country comes off as more of a hissy fit as opposed to someone who just wants a better life for themselves and their family.

Vitrol? The word bitch? Vitrol? What are you five?

The use of adult language certainly has its place. Which is to say there are definitely still contexts where its use is not appropriate. To be sure, there are still contexts where using it only serves to make yourself look stupid.

But labelling Cher saying watch me bitch on twitter as vitrol is akin to responding stop with all the hate speech when someone says they don't like strawberries.

Words are not offensive. Statements are. Observe:

1. Don't be such an asshole.
2. Black people are incapable of intellect equal to or exceeding that of white people.

There are those who would find number 1 offensive and yet would have no problem with 2. I call those people assholes. And there are people who could care less about number 1 but would immediately discontinue all contact with someone in their life who embraced number 2. I call those people normal.

Person said a bitch comment and was called a bitch for it. And I don't care if a conservative said the same

Aaron Paul's reaction to Cher using "Bitch" the same way he does, Bitch!

Well, I tried but I just couldn't get myself worked up into a lather about Cher calling someone a bitch.
Trump rescinding DACA is what has me upset and ready to march in the street shouting slogans, not two people arguing on social media.

Cher is the liar.  She said that she would leave the country if Trump won.  Trump won and she's still here.

At this point... who the fuck really cares what she said? Certainly not me. She doesn't pay my way through this world so why should I be concerned what she says or does?

If people minded their own business what would we talk about?

Well we certainly wouldn't be gossiping about stuff that's none of our business.
