Under the Trump administration the U.S. was able to do that.

i think this is more a matter of NK not only having a working uranium bomb, but a working hydrogen bomb as well, along with a delivery system. NK might be shooting those missiles out over the Pacific, but the Chinese at the very least, and probably the Russians as well, understand that the message is that we can hit your cities too. They came on board because NK is outliving its usefulness as a puppet for their desires to embarrass America. Both countries understand that a nuclear NK will only increase American presence in the region, and that is something neither country wants.

I'll say this: Trump was absolutely right to not place US/ROK readiness exercises on the negotiating table.

Choose either to do business with the United States or choose to do business with North Korea. The Bank Of China just announced a few hours ago that it is stopping all business with North Korea. Kim Jung Un, the Rocket Boy fired two missiles over Japan, threatened Guam, threatened South Korea, and threatened the United States and the left is going bat shit crazy because President Trump called the fat little Tyrant, "Rocket Man".

The only embarrassment is you goofy ass fuckers on the left. Next stop, Iran.

1) Ceasing business with China is not going to happen. The decision made today is no doubt driven by internal Chinese motivations (see above), because they know as well as you and I the effects empty Walmart shelves would have on the American economy. It was, and is, a hollow threat Trump made.

2) As for Iran, Trump is setting the stage for a nuclear-armed Iran. Rather than write, "Next stop, Iran," you should have written, "Next start, Iran." The Iranians lived with decades of sanctions as well, and if they feel threatened, they will retreat back into that as they arm up to ensure no regime change happens there as well.

Let us know when NK announces that it's halting nuclear arms development. That is the victory condition here. Until that happens, all the bluster in the world is useless prattle.
I never said that I thought NOKO under the Kim regime would end its nuclear arms development. I believe somewhere down the road the U.S. with Japan and South Korea will have to take some kind of military action. China already warned NK that if it was the agressor they would stay out of any conflict between them and the U.S., and I don't think Kim is smart enough to not provoke an incident.

Getting rid of Kim would be the ultimate victory condition. Get rid of Kim and we may be able to halt NOKO's nuclear arms development.

Getting rid of that regime with military actions would be a victory in name only. The human tragedy that would follow would be on a scale rarely seen in history.

In a way, that would be too much victory.

It will not happen. China will not allow it, and the fact is that they can, will, and indeed have fought to keep their buffer state. Given that, we will not launch a war, Trump's bluster notwithstanding. He's a businessman and a deal-maker. Let's see him back that up with a deal. A shooting war will be a loss for everyone involved

Indeed an overthrow of Kim will be pyrrhic victory compared to the death toll. Then the economic collapse . Then the humanitarian crisis .  Then the massive rebuilding and restructuring . And the effect it will have on the whole region .The absurd notion that all will be well if Kims dead is simplistic . I myself predict a civil war will occur. After all tyranny abhors a vacuum .And it's not like Kims the only one whole wants power.

Kim simply wants to have the "big ones"; if he doesn't, then he's just another 3rd World country the US can ignore.  He is going to use nukes to enhance his standing in the World, nothing more.  His missiles, unlike ours, are not even armed and they never will be.  All of his A & H bombs are tucked away safely, likely dozens of feet underground and are under constant, close guard.

I can't believe anyone would put much of a concern in anything North Korea says. Trumps pushed them harder than anyone else in the past thus far and he hasn't been slow or shy about it. Though he hasn't used the most eloquent speech available, but he's pushing harder that past folks have and hopefully eventually helps some of the many that are starving to death in the Korean prisons because their cousin ran into South Korea.

They are his insurance policy against "regime change". He will not shoot them off until the change is actually on the way.

I wouldn't say that. He's very blunt and very straight forward. That's one hell of a positive quality in my book. There's no misunderstanding from mixed words.
Where as it could maybe be said stated, it's still better and more plainly said than what we've heard in the past.
I've told several employees in the past "you may not like how I said it, but it still needed said."

Trump has not pushed shit . He has made some loud grunting  noises . And Kims in his compound laughing his ass off at the preforming monkey you voted for. He has factored less then zero in this whole affair and if Hillary had won we would have the same results without the hyperbole.  Trump has exemplified the American stereotype and has damaged America's reputation for it.

Strait forward is only a merit if what you say is not completely moronic .

Shit. China stopping investments isn't nothing. You can't complain too much about trump anyway. It's harder to get into your country legally than it is to live here illegally.
