Time for you to man up. Up to this point in thread, where have you been criticized? I see Lutrinae correcting you. Is correcting you equal to critic? Just so I know.

You're telling me if one of the popular members of this forum made this post people would be reacting the same way? Someone would have corrected the popular member, and that would be that. It wouldn't be taken as an opportunity to give the person crap and make the thread about them than the issue at hand.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yup if someone screwed up that badly yes.

Yeah. I learned, again, that some people on AF would rather criticize a theist than rejoice in a medical breakthrough.

Both are possible.

And your next step on your learning journey is to learn the difference between something incorrect you said being corrected and you personally being criticized.

Of course misunderstanding the difference between a vegetative state and brain dead also helps theists believe in their afterlife. Because after all if when a person's dead they're only in a vegetative state then they still have a mind able to experience heaven right? Tongue

But, whoopsie, totally brain dead=nothing left to experience anything.

And nothing about the difference between the two states?

NO! That isn't allowed. What if we accidentally shatter the illusion that a brain dead person doesn't have a mind or a soul capable of going to heaven?!?!?!

This thread should have been called "Medical Hope for those in coma P.S. NO SHATTERING ILLUSIONS PLEASE EVEN WHEN IT'S RELEVANT."

Insofar as I'm concerned, he's merited the condescension. He certainly doesn't mind giving me doses of it regularly.

Maybe you should try to see both sides if you're gonna stick your honker into a discussion, no?

Yes. Ask Thump, Lutrinae even Min, they are my withnesses that when I feel they said something wrong, I say it.

Another thing. This:

This came before your examples. Heh. He called religion into this. He said he was being criticized when he has not, for being a theist, whe someone pointed out the difference in the terms he used in the OP.

Never the less, after that and I urge you to re read the thread, its obvious that instead of adressing the difference between the title and what the news say, I would've accept if Neo realized his mistake. Instead of pulling the  persecuted christian in here.

The funny thing is that Neo started with the "Fine. Whatever." attitude BEFORE anyone had said that stuff. All that had been done is he got corrected about something he had said that was incorrect. So to be like "Fine. Whatever" with regards to the truth kind of sums up what theism is like at its best really. When the truth finally is accepted it's like "Fine. Whatever." or in other words "Fine whatever I don't care about that because it doesn't aid Jesus."

I do. I've certainly called him out before when I thought he was being unfair with people.

Actually that came after Thump's condescending comment about having "learned something new" and after Min called him a religetard.

So, to your earlier claim accusing Neo of bringing religion into this, actually, Min was the first one to have brought it up.

A self fulfilling prophecy. Perhaps he thought we don't know the difference between a vegetative state and brain death. Still a breaktrough and since he came up with religion on this: SCIENCE SCORES ONE MORE BITCHES - God is still at a nil
