Australia has one too many mass shootings and they crack down. Since then, the last time I checked they are still an open and free society.
Our problem in America isn't a lack of guns, but a flooded market and ease of access.

True. There is no good reason to ban a tool just because it has been abused. But make sure it's used as a tool, not a toy or an object to further fuel paranoia.

Nope. It is easy enough to get a license as long as you have a good enough reason, aren’t suffering from mental health problems and don’t have convictions for a violent offence.
That's fucked up. Considering the police don't even carry them why are the civilians allowed them? Makes no sense.

I use them to weed coyotes. They're a useful tool for that. I also have a .50 cal. heavy machine gun, useful for busting engine blocks and rendering vehicles immobile. That's a weapon. You have to know guns to talk intelligently about their uses.
