Are you as stupid as you sound? Seems impossible.

Do try to remember that these cassock-wearing perverts are constantly preaching how fucking holy they are and how they serve your non-existent god. And also try to remember that when school districts are alerted to a misbehaving teacher they FIRE him or her as the police cart them away. They don't move them to another school where they can hunt fresh meat like the fucking church did.

I don't have much respect for PZ Myers since he seems to have gone further off the rails than he already may have been, but it's hard not to applaud this sentiment:

I have to agree with Polaris' assessment based on my experience. Of the religious women I've slept with, Catholic girls are more likely to be aggressive, multiorgasmic, and comfortable with oral sex (giving and receiving). Protestant girls, based on my experience, are more likely to be prudish, uncomfortable with their sexuality, grossed out by oral sex and shut down in bed. This is just based on my sampling of the population so YMMV.

Can't commend on Catholic or Protestant men. I didn't discover my bisexuality until relatively late in my single years. My only boyfriend was a pagan.

Yes, I've often heard the "There's no more pedophiles in the priesthood than there are in the general population." Even if that's true, the problem is that priests are in a respected position of power over children, so they're more likely to be trusting. That's like claiming that your local police department doesn't have any more criminals employed than in the general population. The fact is that their position requires them to be above suspicion.

The second problem is that instead of removing these pedophiles from the priesthood, the Church was often involved in covering those instances up and moving the priests around to different parishes where they were allowed to prey on new victims. So regardless of the percentage of pedophiles in the priesthood, the main problem is that the Catholic church was involved in a worldwide pattern of covering up the whole problem.
