Choice B is describing a nihilist, not an atheist.

From my experience on these forums, many, if not most, atheists feel this way:

Quote:Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism, which argues that life is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value. Moral nihilists assert that there is no inherent morality, and that accepted moral values are abstractly contrived.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Technically, that's true. But as a practical matter the philosophical positions presented by 90% of AF atheists are nihilistic so it is fair to generalize. Personally, I believe that all atheistic philosophy is ultimately nihilistic or at least I haven't yet seen one that doesn't devolve into nihilism upon close scrutiny.

Can you give a bit more information?

Specifically, about what those two people allow themselves to do?

Also, I want to point out that amoral atheists are in fact quite rare.

I'm with AFTT47 on this one, my neighbour can think or believe in whatever he or she likes, just so long as he or she does it quietly!

Luckily I'm not too neighborly in real life.

Not sure what you mean by disabled person, Take it from yours truly, we're not clingy.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

They bounce around absolute moralists with no understanding to how someone can get it wrong when they disagree with someone or with no signs of doubts their moral view is right,  to nihilists.

Jump one way than the other.

I agree with William Lane Craig that no one is truly a nihilist, they just give lip service to it when it appeals to them.  In essence, everyone believes in objective morality whether they admit to themselves or don't.

Agree. I'm short waisted and wouldn't want somebody tickling my adam's apple.

Yes, because it's so much easier to dismiss people's views when you know them better than they do.

It is evident even in your reaction and all reactions of Atheists, they believe in objective morality. Whether they acknowledge this belief to themselves is something I don't know, but they certainly in essence believe and know objective morality exists.

See it in every reaction - confusion happens when you don't separate what you truly know from what you don't, mix it all up, and pick whatever suits you on the occasion you like.

In short, it is following one's caprice without guidance.

And it's evident your posts have nothing of value or content, just blathering on like a religious random phrase generator.

You don't know shit about what we think.
