I'm American, I was born in Champagne-Urbana. Bob Dylan wrote a song about Champagne. I live in South Carolina now.

I manage the data entry department for a government contract that a large insurance company has with a state.

AF is where I stop for a mental jolt once or twice a day, most days. I've pretty much got everything I want except superb health and vast wealth.

My family members are mostly working class Pentecostals. My partner's dog is a Labradoodle. He sleeps with us. She loves him and I'm pretty fond of the guy.

I'm from the provence of Antwerp, Belgium. I live in the city of Antwerp, Berchem district.
I'm here because this is a chill atmosphere with plenty of room for sarcasm. I like sarcasm and wit.µ
Social worker for a living.
Not looking for much in life in particular, just hoping to enjoy the ride.
Youngest of three; my brother has a doctorate in english-dutch literature, my sister once saved two kids from a burning house and my cat probably has cancer.
The girlfriend and I bought a house and are renovating it, the ending is coming in sight, luckily. I fell down a hatch onto a metal bar with my knee yesterday, second working accident in the renovation. In the first I hit myself in the eyebrow with a clawhammer.

I come from rural Ohio. Like really crappy rural Ohio.
What do I do? I make Industrial Music when I can be arsed to. I have some physical and mental health issues that are keeping me out of work right now.
Why am I here? To post in some of the more stimulating threads and interact with people especially my friends.

What am I looking for in life? I guess all I really want is what most of the normals already have. A job. A steady girlfriend. My own place.
Well for my physical health to get and stay better, and maybe my mental health too although I don't know about the latter as I've been treated for 23 years and not much has improved.

My family....My mom and bro have all the looks. There's not really that much of interest about us. My aunt was an honor student. My grandpa grew up on a farm. Y-donor fled the state and on that side I'm not acknowledged as a relative. They've just stayed away to make sure he never had to pay child support. At least I assume it's because they didn't want to be be tricked into revealing his address. They could just be assholes I suppose.

My pets. Duke is a mini Schnauzer. He's old, but very strong for his size still. Midnight is a Pomerian. He's almost always moving and is often excitable. Sweetie is an extremely hairy mixed breed cat. She's usually nice but she bites me to try to get me to put her on the dryer to get her food. With sufficient motivation it's apparent that she can easily jump up there herself.

One day... I registered on Christian forums... and was quickly banned from there, because that place is not a good place to have a discussion between different points of view.
So, at the time, I gave up on the forum thing...
Then, eventually, I typed "atheist forums" on google and this was the first hit.

I might have liked it here.... people here might be treating me well... I don't know... I just hang around...

When I was 8, I think it was during the Summer when I stayed with my mom for 2 straight weeks, she decided to clip my toe and finger nails at a relatively late hour. While doing that, she turned on the TV and what was on was... a bit horrifying for an 8 year old. I watched some 10 minutes of it, then went back to bed, but couldn't stop thinking about that thing on TV.
So I went back to finish the movie.... BIG mistake!! Still... made it.
Spent a year traumatized and having trouble falling asleep, but came out of it with a clear notion that whatever's on the screen is most likely not real.
A few years later, I discovered the name of that movie...
