And Noah of the flood had way too much of it when he was recounting the tale of the "flood".

The shitwits will simply say that their devious 'god' put them there to test people's faith, Summer.

They have a (stupid) answer for everything. Frankly, that seems to come from being inherently stupid.

Firstly they need to prove that the Earth is as old as they say it is and they need to demonstrate this through the scientific method, not just make a flat bald-faced assertion that it is 6,000 to 10,000 years based on the Bible which is half-arsed circular reasoning.

Second, remember you're arguing with creationists - people who think there's a supernatural omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient deity that is alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the outside of time creator yet simultaneously they can't accept the Earth is far older than previously thought. Creationists don't care for the abundance of evidence around them, learning about the natural science, dating technologies, or the Hypothetico-deductive model to verify observable data - they only care about their subjective religious world view about reality, which is why their bullshit shouldn't be taken seriously and NEVER taught in schools.

Change schools.
This one was way too obious xD
No seriously, the school is fine and I don't think I need to be mean to people that believe stuff I consider shit. Their view on religion is not really taught in the school and the teachers for religion usually are open for discussions, which is very intersting. Whatever, some of the sites you linked me to are quite interesting and I've already found arguments I could hardly oppose. Thanks for your posts Smile

You really can't argue with these people, since they base their entire lives on the assumption that one particular document is absolutely true.

Min - Jews have done the same shit, but for some reason they manage to keep their mouths shut. I wonder why Christians can't learn to do the same thing. Guy who wrote that little piece is an ex-catholic with a grudge tempered only by a giant sense of humor. He's a mostly gentle soul, but the language that comes out of his mouth when he remembers the nurse that kept "prayzin jaysus" when his daughter was born could possibly make your opinion of god look absolutely friendly.

Quote:If I reply with this, I am told to prove them all of this is true. That they basically ignore facts, makes it kinda hard though - you're right there.

Give up! You will never convince them!
As a fellow Adventist, the theory is if you get rid of creation, you get rid of the Sabbath and that could never happen. So instead of people thinking for themselves they argue in circles using the Bible and EGW writings.

Ask them if evolution is wrong why should YEC be true?
cookies4life, which school do you go to?
Its ok to have doubt, just dont let that doubt become the answers.

You dont hate God, you hate the church game.
