Who is the victim then? You say you do not believe in God, and yet the victim of blasphemy is God, since blasphemy is "impious utterance or action concerning god or sacred things."

At no point would an action against an actual person constitute blasphemy, since people are not considered gods, or sacred things.

So please, explain who the crap you think the victim is here...

If we accept that God does not exist (which being an atheist forum, is the gist behind the joke in the first place), then nobody can feel victimised by blasphemy, since nobody other than "God" and related "sacred things" is affected. People are not god, and people are not sacred things.

Since you danced around the question, let me ask you something specific: Give me an example of a blasphemous statement can victimise someone.

...and since when did we start calling offended people "victims". People have every right to be offended, but no crime has been committed. It is different if you are being libelous, since someone is making up stuff about *you*, but blasphemy cannot possibly have any other victim apart from God, since it only ever references God or "sacred things". This, being an atheist forum, points out that "God" does not exist, and that therefore blasphemy is a victimless crime.

It is a joke, and you are going completely over the top with it. You still haven't given me any example of a blasphemous statement that makes anyone other than God the victim.
