Even though we've been in a hurricane drought for almost a decade and the American climatology society is far from having a set conclusion on the impact of global warming on hurricanes and said that the current level of rise in sea temperature has had minimal effect on hurricanes. Don't treat people like idiots who can't remember the last few years. After hurricane Katrina, I was part of an atheist forum back then, and people were saying we were going to get these killer hurricanes every year from now on. Instead it's mostly been less than normal. Min himself said such, and then called me a denier for pointing out the same thing you just did. You are making the mistake of thinking that if a hurricane doesn't hit the mainland US that it does not exist, Cap'n. 2005 was a shit year with Rita and Katrina and there is no arguing about that. However,
