Nor does failure ever change the mind of conservatives, but conservatives do go through the trouble to lie about facts so as to be able to still claim success.

Conservative modus operandi:

Step 1.  Set a goal to screw everyone else without constraint so a few can gain the utmost untrammeled wealth and influence.

Step 2.  Lie all the time, about all things, in all ways so step 1 can be made to seems like the fulfillment of some noble principle that all the completely screwed can be hoodwinked into buying.

Step 3. Shout in the execution of step 2 as loudly and as continuously as the funds provided by those benefiting from step 1 will allow, so the heads of the gullible becomes aswim with step 2, thus facilitating step 1.
