Banned, is there a point in heaven?

I'd be interested in what you think, because I have never thought about that question.

I had an interest for years in finding out information about heaven, but "the point of it" was never thought of, because I was born here and this is my world.

You want to say that God isn't using people as toys for his own joy by saying trash like "Love me. Me strong. Obey or prepare for suffering. Death isn't an option".

I think you should listen to and be able to address good theology, before criticizing.  This just re-emphasizes what I said before. Do you think that twisting what others say, to make a poor emotional appeal is a good way to make an argument?

There is no such thing as "good" theology, just like horoscopes and psychics are useful.

I just found out about annihilationism recently. Yes, it's worlds more healthy than a concept of eternal torment.

However, you're not gonna scare atheists with that. Most of us expect annihilation anyway.

Way too often I see pastors in lectures from different branches of Christianity blackmailing people with eternal hell and people just accept it.

Christianity does not own a patent on emotional blackmail. Muslims use hell as a threat too. And even Buddhists and Hindus believe in reincarnation where if you do bad in life you come back as a lower life.

Jews like to claim now they don't believe in hell, but their Yahweh deity still is not kind to dissent, regardless of what followers think happens after death.

The motif of punishment/reward in religion has existed as a mythology worldwide in some form in our entire species history.

Permanent hell is something invented by corrupted priests in order to control the masses.
Karma law however is real as is real in this universe that a balance must always pop up so to speak.
Without a balance the universe could not exist.
Also in science it is said................. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction..........

If I wanted to scare atheists, I would've proposed universalism instead (everyone is saved/reconciled with God). Imagine spending all eternity with all the people you don't like.

I don't think that it is a choose your own adventure type of thing.  And I would not say that a good theology, is what just suits your fancy! (whether that theology leads to atheism or Christianity) 

So then, it depends on what you mean by "sick concept".   I have the feeling that this is more of an emotional rejection, rather than a logical one.  So then, the question is, why do you think this, and why should I?

I don't think that it is a choose your own adventure type of thing.  And I would not say that a good theology, is what just suits your fancy! (whether that theology leads to atheism or Christianity) 

So then, it depends on what you mean by "sick concept".   I have the feeling that this is more of an emotional rejection, rather than a logical one.  So then, the question is, why do you think this, and why should I?

It's not something you explain with elaborate logical argumentation. It's just sick and barbaric in the same way I view other forms of torture as sick and barbaric (or actually, even worse). I can't convince you that it is, but then again, not my problem. I'm just glad I'm out of that mess of Christian apologetic nonsense.
