So much for american excpetionalism, I guess. I mean, I knew we all knew we missed the mark..but I thought we were still making the attempt? You know, america, "great again"?

Who knows..but it sounds like we've given up any pretense to ever trying to be if we haven't been before. If the explanation for our own shittiness is "meh, the other guys do it" we're just a bunch of lazy assholes.
