Nah...Obama already set that bomb off. Admit it. His record deficits are irrefutable. Meanwhile, we're set to replicate the tax-reduction booms of Kennedy and Reagan.

Why are you kvetching at me about Obama?  He's not the president, he doesn't have any influence over our budgetary manouverings now.  Tell me how -your- boy is going to handle the bomb -your boy- just set off.

I don;t want to hear about this pennies here and there and "whatabout o bammy!" bullshit.  There's a bill, now, Trump signed it.  Who's going to pay it?

Will you guys fuck off about Obama already . He's no longer in office the ball is in Trump's court . And he sinks or swims on his own descions . Obama could be satan himself. But if Trump fucks things up hen he fucked things up .

You would not here me say . Well yeah the previous Canadian Conservative government under Stephen Harper signed the deal to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia .So Justin Trudeau's off the hook for not trying to cancel it.

Quote:
  • Apple says the new tax law will help it will contribute $350 billion to the U.S. economy over the next five years.

  • It says it will create 20,000 new jobs and open a new campus.

  • Apple expects to pay about $38 billion in taxes for the horde of cash it plans to bring back to the United States.

Bullshit. Apple is paying zero tax now, and the under the new laws it will continue to pay zero tax.

Until politicians wake up and realise that those running companies like Apple give not a single shit for either the countries they operate in nor the long term viability of their company (if Apple execs cared about the company they'd be ploughing the $1/4tn cash mountain the company is sitting on into some actual R&D instead of hoping for the government to do it and sell them the results at knock down prices), capitalism will continue to have it's baleful and destructive stranglehold on humanity's well being.

Already one thing that stands out is over the next 5 years . A lot can change in 5 years So Beta boasting about a plan which may be canceled by next year  . And of course the fact this rewards companies who have pushed the majority of their assets overseas. So much for America first .

I find it hilarious how desperate Beta is to try and dig through the mountain of shit. To try and find a sliver of something other then shit . But only finding harden shit .

Trump has achieved nothing and trying to cherry pick does not make him any less a failure .

Apple doesn't need lay offs. When it needs to get rid of staff the bosses in China send the working stiffs up onto the roof, and retract the nets.

I'm no expert on US tax law, but aren't corporations supposed to be taxed at 21%? $38 billion out of $350 billion is less than 11%.

Boru

Due to loopholes and such, the effective tax is much lower than on paper.

-and then we offset whatever -that- meager rate is with direct corporate welfare. Remember, giving "job creators" money incentives them, unlike the filthy poor laborers, whom it just makes lazy.

The people who didn't have jobs before that now or soon will. The workers that earn more than they did before. The small businesses that are thriving under the bill. Large companies that earn more off their investments and increased consumer spending. We know it will happen because it happened before. Two years from now voters will be asking themselves if they are better off after Trump than they were the last time there was a Democratic president. I only mentioned Obama as a point of comparison. It's obvious to anyone that his policies produced a slow anemic "recovery". Now that Trump's in office people are starting to remember what a real recovery looks like instead of hearing liberal pundits lecture us on accepting the "new normal".

You mean all that "trickle down" economic fantasism?  It's never worked before. I want a real solution with a non-zero chance of coming to pass, thanks. You can hash out your little internecine struggle with the dems..with a dem. Doesn't mean shit to me.
