the hamster won't be around to provide emotional support for the decision to euth the hamster . . . .
right ?

Ideally I would prefer neither but if I had to choose, some smelly, noisy, snot-nosed kid is going to come in second.
You say that, until you have one screeching out loud and shitting uncontrollably.
Oh, wait.

There was a news item on the local news about a girl who tried to get her emotional support hamster aboard a plane.
She ended up flushing the poor little bastard.
Edit: dammit, I should read more than the first page.

And here's yet another story I remember from WTFIWWY, and, while he didn't say it was for emotional support, I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to bring their "Emotional Support Dozen Live Hummingbirds in Their Underwear"
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...pants.html
Fortunately, the hummingbirds [Plain-bellied emeralds, if I'm interpreting it correctly] were safe (they weren't even sedated) and presumably sent back to their native habitats.

Yes you/other people do. Think about it.
It's required by law that parents not neglect their children, and not all travel is for pleasure.
I'm an adult. It's easier for me to tolerate a crying baby than it is for a baby to stop doing what babies do. <shrug>

Yes you/other people do. Think about it. Some assholes forget that they were once crying kids themselves.

I read that headline online this week and I'm mildly embarrassed to admit I laughed and thought it sounds like a headline from The Onion. But that's just my dark sense of humor.
Who in their right mind would murder their pet hamster after it was denied boarding an aircraft?
The article I read (on The Guardian, I believe) said it happened back in November and mentioned almost as an aside that the hamster killer is now represented by an attorney. To me, this is just another story about a lawyer trying to make a quick buck off a company with deep pockets.
