No need, we have a fine example in thread. While we're looking things up..though.........perhaps you could look up a phrase for me? "Post hoc, ergo propter hoc".
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Problem with religious people, when they're talking about homosexuals, is that they don't know any homosexuals personally. From the start they've been taught to look at homosexuality with prejudices and even as they try to know more they are stirred to be biased about it as they were taught it was "unnatural" and vile and perverse, because it's hard for them to let go what they were taught as kids (as they still believe in supernatural stuff).
So I would advise people like Huggy to get some homosexual friends, or if he feels uncomfortable to do that to at least read some autobiographies by homosexual people like let's say Stephen Fry.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Meh, I don't think that's the particular problem the Huggster is suffering from.
In his case it appears to be an inability to read his own sources. One argues precisely the opposite of his conclusion, whilst the other concedes that the explanation for why hetero folks so abused don;t turn out gay..and conversely why gay folks might..is likely due to their relative predispositions towards homosexuality in the first place. IOW, the only difference, in the end, between a gay person who was abused and a gay person who wasn't..is that one was abused. Not that one of them would have been straight. I suppose he prefers the latter source..since..on the surface, it might be taken to lend his position some credence..but I;m willing to bet he'd be highly disappointed by the mans overall summary of homosexuality vis a vis every single way it differs from huggsters biblical compulsion to hate on the gayness at every opportunity, no matter how stretched.
That's just his "fully developed" brain working out connections, right there. It's not for lack of gay friends, it's for an overabundance of christian love and understanding. Who would wish him on a gay person anyway?

Your brother-in-law is gay? Wow, your sister must be mad. He's your best bud? You hang out often?
All of these back and forth's about child brain development (young children are rarely aware of themselves as sexual beings, and if they are, yeah, you usually have trouble)
and snippets about your own orientation (eh, whatever, who cares?) the primary question has yet to be answered. The sources that you posted did refute your own assertions.
We need some good studies showing that a much larger percentage of homosexuals than heterosexuals were sexually abused as young children.
The underlying purpose of your assertion is clear: you want to see homosexuals as damaged, as pitiable victims who weren't allowed to develop into true human beings.
(The term Pope Benedict used was "intrinsically disordered" and I was told by a priest that I could still be "god's child" as long as I never had sex. Imagine being told that -
how would you feel?)
Homosexuality is simply a part of the human spectrum. We're people. Just like you.

I really hate shit like this because my son is gay and he has a huge support network, both here at home and in school. We try really hard to let him know that he is free to be himself and is free to express himself. But people like Huggy or Atlas, make it hard because of the sheer amount of hate they spew about gay people. They are the ones who keep negative stereotypes going.
It's none of anyone else's fucking business who my son loves and he shouldn't be punished by the court of public opinion simply because he loves someone else who has the same genitalia as he does.
God damn. Humanity and love for our neighbors got tossed out with the baby in the bath water and has been replaced by this ever present need to be in other people's business all the time.

It's a product of an "arrest" of sexual development.
Personally; I see that arrest -which I personally see as compulsive and forced- to be a crime.
Kraft American cheese is not natural. Is eating a yummy grilled cheese sandwich made with it a crime as well? What about synthetic fabrics? GMO crops? FAKE FUR!?

Fry did say that during High school he experienced some bloke "taking liberties" that didn't have any psychological effect on him and that he was gay long before that.
So like I said if you're gonna make some generalizing stuff about homosexuality and if you plan to judge gays first make some gay friends, not some guy that you perhaps meet few times a year. I mean some people even have their own kids that are gay and they don't bother to know them.

Oh so I'm spewing hate now? What did I say exactly that could be interpreted as "hate"?

I guess you forgot that you stated there are a number of people you'd happily murder if you knew you could get away with it, so please spare the holier than thou bit.
