RE: What Major Intellectual Issue Most Keeps You From Accepting The Christian Narrative?

I find this an odd question because Christianity as a whole if chock full of problematic issues from an intellectual perspective as well as from a general perspective of human decency. I first started reading the Bible and going to church out of social and intellectual curiosity as a 4 year old. I couldn't believe how absurd, indecent, and harmful the teachings were. However learning about it taught me quite a lot about sociology, psychology and learning, violence, people, society...American society, that is, a culture particularly informed by religion. I could never forfeit my own power of mind and critical thinking or my decent moral value system to such a horridly disasterous substitute.
I often wondered why what was so clearly a catastrophic mental and cultural problem to me, was the norm of social philosophy a nd organization for almost everyone else. I learned the reasons why I as I grew into a more socially aware adolescent and teenager.
