Farm animals

RE: Farm animals
Factory farming should be banned, and not just because it needlessly adds suffering to animals, and because it's also unsustainable.

I'm no vegetarian, but I realize there's no utility in adding suffering to the mix. Hell, I'd welcome lab-grown meat which would eliminate suffering altogether and make it heaps more sustainable.

Vegetarian diet is tasty if you abuse dairy. But cows are treated like trash as well, so it's small difference compared to meat. Vegan diet requires extra cash to buy supplements and find ones that aren't animal based, which would require even more money.

The vegan diet is petrochem based.  Wink
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

All this diet topic for me seems like a pointless thing right now. You can eat like vegan, but be an asshole in life. Or eat meat and be hardworking and generous person.

Sure, and yet here you (and we) are. I doubt that anyone is objecting to that statements accuracy. We're probably talking about something else...huh?

However, returning to your op remarks...and in light of this comment, what -are- you talking about? You asked whether or not god could be as "fucked up" as our businessmen. This implies that something about them or their model is fucked up...that they are, in a word..assholes. I think that you and I (and errybodies auntie) would agree that people who treat animals like shit are assholes.

I'm not a vegetarian either.  I eat animals because I love them, served with fava beans and a nice chianti.

Lol. Aliens: I say raise humans humanely in settings where they feel safe. Kill them quickly so they feel little or no pain. A good life with only one bad day. That is more humane than being vexed by mortgage, depression, constant fears their entire life until one day they die from fast food caused stroke.

As long as they did it when I was old, I'd be pretty cool with that. I mean, if being farmed can cure depression, I'm in, even though I've actually only ever been depressed for a few months.

I hear you. I don't wanna be a moral person because I only live once and lieing, cheating and stealing benefit me and add to my pleasures. It's all about me.

How refreshing to see at least one nonbeliever tell the truth. It's a wrong life of coarse and leads to many troubles down the road.

Until, you know, we slaughtered and butchered them.

Boru

If done correctly killing an animal is done humanely, after they are dead they know nothing about being butchered. Many predators begin eating their prey before it's dead at least we do not do that, I hope.
