All this diet topic for me seems like a pointless thing right now. You can eat like vegan, but be an asshole in life. Or eat meat and be hardworking and generous person.

However, returning to your op remarks...and in light of this comment, what -are- you talking about? You asked whether or not god could be as "fucked up" as our businessmen. This implies that something about them or their model is fucked up...that they are, in a word..assholes. I think that you and I (and errybodies auntie) would agree that people who treat animals like shit are assholes.

I say raise animals humanely in settings where they feel safe. Kill them quickly so they feel little or no pain. A good life with only one bad day. That is more humane than being vexed by lions their entire life until one day the lions are eating their intestines while they are still alive.

I grew up on a farm, and all of our animals were treated pretty humanely.

Until, you know, we slaughtered and butchered them.

 If done correctly killing an animal is done humanely, after they are dead they know nothing about being butchered. Many predators begin eating their prey before it's dead at least we do not do that, I hope.
