God the Son walked in the garden, smelling the burning animals is a metaphor for God being pleased His people were repenting of their sin. God says He is Spirit and not a physical being like we are. It's going to be hard to not be offended. God the father has a backside, once walked in Eden, and almost got beat in a wrestling match. He also gets off on the smell of blood. So at one point he was quite physical. Old theists going by old stories of a more down to earth deity.
