Agreed. His mere assertions are simple and obvious. I suspect he is not yet well versed in understanding the differences between and among non-sequitur, coincidence, correlation and causation. Confirmation and expectation biases, along with other flavors of wishful thinking, do that to many folks.

It's called the "Relaxation Response." Repeatedly suggesting to yourself to relax encourages a relaxed state. People can also work themselves up by obsessing over their worries as well. I don't see anything necessarily divine about a basic psychological method of inducing a certain state of mind.
On a separate note, I would not use the term "proof". Proofs are for mathematics. No argument in favor of God's existence approaches the logical necessity of a mathematical proof. As for me, I believe that demonstrations based on common experience provide sufficient reason for believing in the existence of God. I also believe that the absence of the Divine leads to absurd logical conclusions, but that is not a 'proof' in favor of theism. Ruling out incoherent positions does not make remaining possibilities true by default. Other theists believe that the preponderance of evidence make theism more likely and I tend to agree with them, but these are based on historical analysis, not formal proof.

This is laughable.
People relax because of Zen meditation, listening to music, exercising, self hypnotism, and many more methods.
All very effective, and completely naturalistic.
No magic man required.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
