The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

That being said, I assume my daughter would reschedule her party if her brother died.

Also, why are people against having parties just for fun? Having a baby is exciting, might as well have a party for it.

I'm against baby/wedding showers that either a person throws for themselves or that close family throws for them or for a child that isn't the first born. Gender reveals aren't as present greedy so they aren't usually that bad but sometimes they are.

Celebrating having a baby is fine, but gender reveal parties are dumb.  Not everything has to have a spectacle made out of it.  Maybe it's just the cynic in me because I never even had so much as a baby shower, but I think having a party to celebrate something like 'finding the gender of your child' is ridiculous.

"Is it a boy or a girl!?"

"Does it really fucking matter?"

I mean does it.  Really?  Maybe if you want to think up names I guess.

It's important if they really really want a boy and it's actually a girl.

EDIT: Whoopsie daisy. No poll. Ahh, well. This is all about the convo.

Funeral because gender reveal parties are fucking stupid. Also, I'd wonder why the fuck my daughter wasn't going to her brother's funeral. She might have to see her way out of the will with this sort of behavior.

Eh, I don't feel that way about baby showers. It's nice for parents to A. celebrate and B. get a little help with the big initial expenses.

Well, if that was a guarantee, I think my adopted son would understand that I need to see this and laugh at their faces.

Oh if the party is thrown by a non family member and the mother to be is in no way helping create it (minus giving a list of friends and saying her favorite color) and it's their first child I'm all for baby showers. I had one when I was pregnant. My sister was infuriated with me because I said she wasn't allowed to throw me one but I didn't say no to my best friend doing it. I expect to have more kids but I will not be having more showers.

Heh I did gender reveals simply because I wanted a baby shower type party but I didn’t want people to bring presents.

And it was fun Tongue

I'd rather send a gift, and not attend. That way I don't feel guilty, and I don't have to go to a fucking party where there isn't any alcohol or cute guys to hit on.
