I had one when I was pregnant. My sister was infuriated with me because I said she wasn't allowed to throw me one but I didn't say no to my best friend doing it. I expect to have more kids but I will not be having more showers.

I'd rather send a gift, and not attend. That way I don't feel guilty, and I don't have to go to a fucking party where there isn't any alcohol or cute guys to hit on.
