There's really not much that can be said if you insist that the only thing the us could do by intervening in the case of chemicals weapons..is somehow make it worse.
Like I said..that's the terminus of a long running campaign to discredit any foreign assistance whatsoever...which is super helpful when you want to annex a number of small countries and install client regimes in others.
"Hey, rest of the world, keep your nose out of this unless you want a war..and so what if we gas a few folks here and there...you could only make it worse. Our troops did what? No, those aren't our troops..those are little green men. What;s that about your brexits and elections? No, ofc not..don't be ridiculous. This whole thing is fake news and false flag operations and hey...prove you aren't keeping that spy we tried to kill hostage...we're concerned for our people!"

We have a really shitty track record over there when it comes to peacekeeping. They don't see us as liberators.

I wouldn't either..particularly when we promise aid and encourage them to fight..and then..abandon them. Takes alot to build that trust and respect back up...and sure..for some folks..you'll never be seen as anything other than a foreign invader.

If memory serves the Russkis did a shit job in Afghanistan. Ultimately I doubt they will do much better in Syria. Let them choke on it.

Unlike the soviet union in afghanistan, the russian fed in syria will just nope out if the tide turns.
Just caught this on the newstubes......russia..is blaming the UK....for the latest chlorine attack.

Isreal had a strike with Syria... Isreal should get the memo stay out of it.. honestly... people should just leave Syria alone. If Iran get's involved so will Russia no one is walking away from this unharmed if this gets really bad.

There was supposed to be an investigation by OPCW today to see if it was Assad that gassed his people.
We bombed them Friday night and we couldn't wait for the evidence. We are starting a war based on an assumption that Assad not rebels were
gassing and killing his own people. The point here is no one knows who did the chemical attack the supposed evidence on the news doesn't make sense either.
The last one was staged by rebels and the white helmets themselves aren't even the good guys rather another rebel group.

Iran isn't really all that interested in hitting Israel. They're more interested in having a position where Israel will decide it's not in their best interest in attacking Iran. After all over the last thirty years Isreal has carried out a number of aggressive acts against Iran while Iran has carried out none.
Plus having a sympathetic Syria is a nice counter-balance in the region against the Gulf states. Iran-Iraq-Syria is strong enough to put the buffer on the al-Sauds and their puppet Emirs.
