It's hard for me to not be delighted with how he has sullied the body of Christ with his incessant sordid pandering to the religious folks. The Evangels and Fundies are serving 2 masters, well 1 if you count Trump and ignore Jesus, and Trump has done far more to expose their paucity of actual faith and their hypocrisy than any number of atheists could ever hope.

I can't argue with that. In my mind, the former champions of tarnishing the Christian brand was Jim @ Tammy Baker in the wonderful 1980s. Trump has definitely taken it to the next level. The problem is, this idiot is in a position to do damage where the former clowns were not.

It may be that our excellent constitution with its design of separation of powers will prevent him from doing catastrophic damage while at the same time doing more damage to the Christian brand than the infamous Bakers could have dreamed of doing. We can only hope.
