Sounds like "quantum biology" is still very much in the hypothesis stage. I'm not expecting to see anything from the field, as quantum physics appears to confine itself to much smaller scales than biological organisms, principally subatomic particles.

(In fact, since biological organisms contain a large number of atoms, it's possible that any quantum effects will just cancel out from atom to atom.)

Some people do think plants are conscious (I'm a little surprised you don't) plants also have a sex life (and having a sex life is what consciousness means to you..?)....and neither of these two things matters in the slightest to why your absurd beliefs about a catering meat fairy are breathtakingly ignorant.

We have a sex drive because it was stumbled into during the evolutionary process and it had positive effect for species survival. You keep assuming there is an intent behind everything. There's no justification or need for that.

Shit happens, then you die. The trick is to make the most of it while you can because there's no good reason to believe there's anything more. Wasting your life dreaming about a fantasy world of gumdrops and unicorns after death is just sad.

That is not a valid explanation for all the pain and suffering that exists in this world.

The idea that you want this to be a fair and just universe has zero bearing on whether or not it is a fair and just universe. The evidence all points to it being a wholly uncaring universe and your refusal to accept that is entirely your loss. You can accept it and work to make things better now or reject it and continue living in your fantasy world along with everybody else who is unwilling to face reality as it is.
