It's called having some courage to not be intimated by people claiming they have knowledge when they are not trustworthy enough to use reasoning nor humble enough to accept the truth.
The irony of that statement is staggering. Particularly the bolded part.

And that's called weapons-grade bullshit. Jesus, MK! You might be one of the most irony-challenged people I've ever encountered -- even if you are courageous, knowledgeable, and humble. Lol

I don't care about that peer journalism bullshit.
There is no reason to trust any authority in this time where humans are ruled by deceivers.
Consciousness is binary. Yes there is various levels of it, but at the end, either something is or isn't conscious.

There are plenty of examples. You just have to understand the problem properly. There aren't any. You just have to understand the problem properly.

MK, you can argue with the facts all day long. Thru will remain unchanged and you will remain unchangingly wrong.

So there is absolute no point in debating you. Whatever anyone says will be a waste of time. You are closed to evidence that does not confirm your own world view. You might as well believe in the tooth fairy, Santa or the christian god.

In relation to consciousness being binary, you can view it that way but I don't see what it has to do with anything.
You can say someone can either be able to see or not be able to see. That doesn't mean that the eye is irreducibly complex.
Just like there's different types of eye, more complex eyes and more primitive light sensors there's different levels of brain complexity which is obvious, and within your life experience. You were once an unborn baby and not at the same level of consciousness as you are now because your brain wasn't developed enough to think complex thoughts like you can do now. Before your brain developed you had no consciousness.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

You have to think that some piece of anatomy or genetics -exists- in order to wonder how it came to be. Then you'd have to have some idea as to how that anatomy or genetics could interact with other parts of your "complex system" in order to show that they have some sort of practical depedency. Then you'd have to show that there was a system or process or manner in which this anatomy or genetics is produced that -couldn't- produce this specific configuration.
That;s a whole lot of scientific authority just to set the stage for your science denial, don;t you think?
