Her tweet is hilarious and anyone butthurt about it is a PC liberal zombie with no sense of humor.

The only way it could be funny would be if she were making fun of people that are racists that think that Obama (or apparently his former aids)  are secret Muslims. That could be funny.

If this is the case, I wish she would clear that up.

She would have done that right away, I think.

If meant literally it's just racism and conspiracy theory.

Roseanne Barr is a conspiracy theory nut, a trump lover and this isn't her first go round with making remarks that cross the line. Evidently doing this on the regular, is in her wheelhouse.

Personally I think people that care if politicians or their aids are Muslims are incredibly foolish. What I care about are their policies. These are often fundamentalists that are paranoid of fundamentalists on the other side.

Just as there are Christians that focus on the good and loving aspects of their holy book, and ignore the odious aspects Muslims can do the same thing.

There is something very sad about this. I didn't watch the show, but it was a comedy that had two sisters pitched against each other politically while remaining close friends. 

Comedies have been made about political discord forever - Archie Bunker comes to mind. But there were lots.

I find it sad that this doesn't seem possible anymore. This country is unable to laugh at itself, shit turns very serious very fast.

Think of making fun of Mohammed - that turns serious real fast too.

Those were storylines for the shows, not racist tweets. You seem confused.

If I recall correctly, Roseanne's new show was supposed to be reflective of the everyday Trump voter to show that they're mostly just normal-ass people trying to get by, and that they aren't bigoted, dumbass racist assholes.

And then she reveals that she is literally that.

Barr's most pointed charge came toward actor Michael Fishman, who played her son D.J. Conner in the ABC reboot.

I don't believe her Ambien excuse. This shows a lack of character and an inability to take responsibility. If she's really a good person who was making loopy comments, I don't think she would've criticized others for rightfully criticizing her.

I'm not confused, but apparently I have trouble verbalizing what I mean.

I was stepping back and not addressing her tweets, we all agree on her racism and spreading of stupid conspiracy theories and that she deserved to be fired.

I was looking at television programming, and how throughout the decades we had comedies that pitched opposing political views against each other and still managed to be funny enough to gather lots of viewers on both sides. 

It seems that this is too much of a hot potato now. TV is completely partisan, no one laughs at themselves and their own views anymore. There are no more shows like this at all. The Roseanne show was an attempt to launch one. And it did work, it had a huge viewership. Roseanne and her sister had some funny exchanges I saw in previews, with Roseanne being a trumper and her sister being progressive. It was funny, it made you think, and Roseanne and her sister took it as opinions that did not affect their human bond. This is something this society sorely needs if we are going to survive this era of division.


Too bad that Roseanne wasn't acting and was a racist conspiracy theory nut job in real life. The show itself was a good thing, and I hope someone has the guts to put a comedy together that serves the purpose this one could have.
