Are other races more evolved than Blacks?

Are other races more evolved than Blacks?
The original humans, who evolved in Africa around 200,000 years ago, were most likely black. Does this mean that other races are more evolved than Blacks?

No.

There's no such thing as "more evolved." That's just a nonsensical concept. A cockroach is exactly as evolved as a human, or a jellyfish, or an eagle.

This is dumb on so many levels. Is this really a puzzle you can't solve yourself?

What do you mean by more evolved?   This seems to imply that they are moving towards something or that they are better.  Neither of which to my understanding would be supported under materialistic theories of evolution.  From my understanding, I think that many would say that this is an incorrect question.  The only way that it might make since, is to say that some black races are closer to those (as far as change goes) than others.   It seems that I've also heard recently a theory that increased melanin in the skin, may be a more recent development (though I'm not sure the reasons behind this).

Humans are more evolved than bacteria in the sense that they've changed more from the common ancestor (which was probably a prehistoric bacterium).

Changed more with regard to the common ancestor.

That's pure nonsense.

So you're asking if they are more similar to the common ancestor than other humans?

If this was the case, the difference would be relatively insignificant, in every sense.

But this is assuming that black people today are the same as those human ancestors. Clearly they are not, so the answer is more likely to be no.

We;ve all, every living thing.... been here for exactly the same amount of evolutionary time. You;re asking an even narrower question with an even more ludicrous premise, though. Whether different populations of the same organism with the same generation times are more or less evolved than each other. As a point of fact, bacteria would be -more evolved- than human beings from any common ancestor because they;ve been here just as long as us and have much higher rates of mutation as well as shorter generation time.

Where is the "is it racist if" qualifier we've all come to know and love..lol? Wink
