RE: "Jesus would rather kill, not marry, gay people" - Franklin Graham
It takes a legit goddess to recognize her limitations..and..remember, I;m already locked in as the official hole digger when the world bows to Valk.  I like to know that I'll be busy. Idle hands and all that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Jesus wouldn’t bless gay couples, the far right minister says. Instead, God would kill them all.

“Jesus didn’t come to promote sin, He came to save us from sin,” Graham wrote. “The Bible is very clear. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality. God defines sin in His Word—it’s not up to our opinion, the latest poll, or a popular vote.”

It just amazes me to no end how dumb or blatantly dishonest atheist can be, I believe the latter. Know why, because that's what you did, Franklin Graham did not say God would kill them, that was the lying writer of the article and you. That statement was not in quotes nor did it refer to anything Franklin Graham said, deceit is the key and go to method of atheist as has been proven here in the OP. Thanks for the demonstration of atheist tactics. We're watching.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Really he didn't say Jesus would not accept homosexuality then go into a tirade about a biblical story were a city is destroyed by god  because they were gay sounds like god killing them to me .
Quote:I have to respectfully disagree with former President Jimmy Carter on this one. He is absolutely wrong when he said Jesus would approve of gay marriage. Jesus didn’t come to promote sin, He came to save us from sin. The Bible is very clear. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality.
Thou i will grant the quote in the title is false (thou you can't prove dishonesty rather the error )

As for deception consider the shit you pull you have no business calling anyone else dishonest

There never was a "Sodom and Gomorrah" which were destroyed by a god for sin. There never was a Jesus who still approves or disapproves of homosexuality. Carter and Graham are adults for fucks sake. The debate is idiotic.

Quote:Ok then... if you are saying that the definition is that I think homosexual activity is a sin, and sexually immoral; then it would apply. But you can’t then equivocate to make that mean that’s I am afraid of or hate people who are attracted to the same sex.
There you go trying to separate the act from the people you can't to express condemnation of one is to express condemnation of the other . That's an expression of negative feelings or i would argue prejudice thus by definition a homophobe as it's not just hate or fear it's any irrational disapproval toward the act/person . More double speak by the religious to wallow away their ideologies inherent bigotry .

And no don't try the bullshit of comparing your condemnation of homosexuality to something like gambling or murder etc.None of those is equal to a persons sexual identity and even trying to compare the two is itself hateful .

No... you are wrong.   I'm not prejudice, fearful, or hateful of people with same sex attraction.  I do think that homosexual activity is wrong and a sin.    You are being fairly negative towards my beliefs right now, would you consider yourself phobic.   You can disagree, and say that I am wrong, but that doesn't make you a bigot.  It is intolerance towards those with differing opinions that makes you a bigot.

And just to note.  While it may have wormed it's way into the definition, I think that this ambiguity is still a misuse of the word.  I also think that it stems from deceptive tactics and is not an enhancement of the  language.  I don't consider myself phobic in any sense of that word in regards to homosexuals.  And if you are using the word homophobic in regards to me, then I'm likely to ask you to clarify it each and every time.  Just a heads up.

Do you think that it;s a legit reason to kill people?  One...or a whole town?

I'm not going to change the topic to objective morality, and a discussion of the judgement of Sodom and Gammorah Khem.

I seems that god and jesus (and apparently his followers) just can't stop watching. What does that tell you?

If you think that gay people deserve to die, for being gay, that's definitely homophobia.

If you think they should die but don't deserve it, that's confusion.

I understand the true believers don't fear gays the way they do a bear, but from what I remember from my days in Churches, there is fear and hate.

I mean, many Christians vote for politicians that are antithetical to many of Jesus' stated beliefs, at least partialy because they don't want gays to have the basic right to marry who they want.

I've even heard Christians say the right to marry who you want in general isn't a basic right.
