"Jesus would rather kill, not marry, gay people" - Franklin Graham

They call it love, but it's not that all.

Their idea of "love" is a mere cloak to hide their prejudice.

I've often wondered why so many Christians get hung up on homosexuality, as if there are no other ''sins'' that they can think of. As if heterosexuals can never sin, or their sexual sin pales in comparison. Rolleyes

As if it is not more biblical to check one's self before condemning another.  Ironically, theists today tend to be more sinful and incapable of introspection; their downfall is judging others unnecessarily.

So many problems believers could concentrate on -- War, poverty, hunger -- but instead of rolling up their sleeves and working on those, what do they do? They single out small, identifiable groups in their society and bully them, on the pretext of "saving" them from themselves.

There are no words in the English language sufficient to express the emotions that I feel when confronted with such opportunistic cowardice masquerading as "righteousness."

This is also sort of like when politicians go after each other for using adult language, instead of the policies that end up killing people.

This is what happens when you promote a belief system that overvalues faith and undervalues good works.

IMO faith by itself is passive, largely a done deal unless someone is in spiritual crisis and trying to recapture that newly-born-again feeling. Attacking an enemy of the faith, or a "lost soul," gives that passive faith something to do -- to the detriment of whoever attracts the believer's attention.

The following are not my words, I've seen them in memes before; something to the effect of:

"Instead of being born again, why not attempt at growing the fuck up."

The funny thing is:

Trump is a serial adulterer who bragged about sexually assaulting a woman (whether he actually did it or not) but Christians LOVE him as much as they love Jesus (if not more).

Gay people though? Woo boy are they terrible in the eyes of Christians. Even the monogamous ones.

It's very telling what matters to Christians. And it isn't 'love'. They prefer hate disguised as love so they can feel better about themselves. It's time we stop letting them do that. They're hateful creatures who don't deserve the privilege of feeling better about themselves.
The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Adultery is a sin as well. Perhaps you don’t see adultery as much in conversation, because people do not usually defend adultery.

Also, I still don’t hate homosexuals and never have. I wonder why some feel the need to call names and attack motives and all the other B.S.  i do hope, that at least some more intelligent people; would recognize what is being done here.
