If that was really treason, House Dems should be drawing up articles of impeachment and trying to get some Reps to join them. Best case they succeed. Worst case they highlight that Reps support treason, and so Dems win a lot of seats in November.
If Dems don't do so, possible reasons are: - they're traitors themselves - they're stupid - they understand that it's not really treason and they'll look like idiots if they push it

I think that is a slipper slope you are putting forth there, many of those things might be said of a number of democrats as well. However I think that to use the word treasonous for this, is just ridiculous. I can understand where some might disagree, and think his actions unwise. I think that a case could be made for the phrase "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". But if this is what they are calling treasonous (I think I even heard someone mentioning impeach); I think it's crazy if this is made out to be anything more than hyperbole. Worst case scenario: the democrats highlight that republican support of treason, but the spread of cynical apathy among the increasingly impoverished non-one percenters is so great that republicans increase their majorities in both houses and immediately after the election pledge open fealty to Putin who appoints Trump head of the Russian mafia in the former U.S.A.. |
