It's always propaganda (on both sides) and never an honest debate. I just felt the need to reply to the chart, which was particularly dishonest.

Right. As if violence by knifes and broken beer bottles don't count as violence...only "gun violence" matters.

You know what the cure for knife violence is. Looser knife laws, the only cure for a bad guy with a knife is a good guy with a knife. Lets make it compulsary for everyone to carry knives and I'm sure we'll all see the rate of knife violence plummet. /sarcasm

How many "mass stabbings" have there been carried out by a lone individual!

The thing with guns is that they up the ante a mad man with a knife is awful, a mad man with a machine gun is a national tragedy.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

People just drive trucks through crowds, or do arson attacks. Gun control makes the number of mass shootings go down, but seems to have little to no effect on mass killings. Someone who wants to killer a bunch of people isn't going to be a healthy normal person cause they can't get a semi automatic weapon.

People like to cite Australia's gun laws as an example of success. While gun violence went down, the murder rate in the US has dropped more since 1998 than the Australian one.

In addition the number of mass killings seems to have stayed pretty steady. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_..._Australia

Which would suggest people are just finding other means.
