Just depends on what you call it. Call it obamacare..they hate it. Call it the affordable care act, they love it.

Here's an example of the marvelous health care that republitards are always bragging about. Yeah...we're #1, alright.

Quote:Woman with chronic kidney disease nearly dies every week before she can get medical care
Quote:Under the 1986 Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, hospitals must treat anyone who comes to them with a life-threatening medical emergency. This means that Lucia can only go to her local hospital when her life is in danger.
However, if she waits too long to receive treatment for her illness, she could easily die.
“When both kidneys stop working, people, on average, will live anywhere from 10 to 14 days,” said Dr. Lilia Cervantes, who helps treat Lucia at the hospital. “And so, to continue living, you need some process to filter blood, which is a dialysis machine.”
And the republicunts solution? Repeal the EMTLA so these people can just fucking die already. Yea, 'Murrica.

3,500,000 Americans lost their healthcare under Trump already. This is something the dems should attack.

The Pentagon year after year keeps telling congress they do not need all the new tanks and jets the PRIVATE military industry makes.
Nor do uber billionaires need all the tax breaks they get.
I bet if you took just a fraction of those giveaways and funded health care, and paid livable wages, less of America would be on the government dime.

You wouldn't need to spend any money to get livable wages. Raising the minimum wage would help the economy and help businesses because more people would actually have disposable income. No extra government spending necessary. Big business and their republican and neo liberal slaves will wine and cry like you're pulling out their fingernails though.

The issue there is her immigration status. Any citizen with end stage renal disease is automatically covered by Medicare regardless of age. For some reason we give socialism to kidney patients. I enjoyed that when i needed it. But it angers me that we can't apply that to so many other conditions.
Do single payer systems in other countries provide that level of care for undocumented immigrants for the same amount (or no amount) as citizens?

Being an undocumented immigrant is not a capital crime.

I'm not saying they don't deserve healthcare (they're human beings), I'm just curious if other countries w single payer extend the same standards to undocumented immigrants.

No more than we do, no. Sort of amusing when you realize what the insurance options actually are for undocumented migrants in the US, how many are uncovered, and what percentage of the total uncovered population that is.
