Peterson's 12 Rules For Life, have you heard of this?

It's like Linus Pauling's obsession with Vitamin C after winning his Nobel Prizes, except it's something more toxic.

Your flippant dismissal puts you at odds with 6, 9 & 10. (Not that you should necessarily care.)

6-Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world .. though of course it is easier to turn your criticism outward.

9-Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't .. I believe he has put more thought and care into what he has to say than you have in characterizing it.

10-Be precise in your speech .. He seems to do a better job of it than you. Not that you suck at this but you do seem under motivated.

Fuck that shit. I owned an older home that had an add on with a flat roof. After the purchase of the home and securing the mortgage the insurance company decides that the flat roof is a.liability and threatens to cancel my insurance. So, I paid $1500 for a contractor to install a rubberised roof that met specs. I left state for two months to deal with unfinished business. While  I was gone these local pre and early teen skaters decided that climbing the unused CB radio tower onto my flat roof and using it as a skate park was too cool to pass up. They totally fucked up the roof and  had leaks into the add on. Cost me thousands and an increase to my insurance payments. Set the hounds on those little fuckers next time.
[*]

'tis a shame that the contractor didn't also broadcast white rocks onto that roof, to increase the albedo and reduce the cooling costs. Here in sunny California, a flat roof gets a rock texture, with rocks in the 1" or so range. Skate on that, little fuckers. NB- I had a skateboard as a kid, but only surfed sidewalks or the street. That other shit like handrails, roofs and so forth were not something I ever participated in. Around here, handrails have bumps welded on to discourage that "grind" shit.
[*]

We have a large 'flat' roof with cap sheeting.  It has lasted longer than 30 years and can have its life extended with a silver 'paint' coating.  We're hoping to nurse it to the end of our lifetimes.

Totally sucks what they did to ChimpLady's roof though.  (I was a skateboarder and I did skate some places where we weren't welcome, but no where that did any harm.)

News to me.  Where do you find that?

Rationalwiki. His popularity skyrocketed after he started posting videos attacking political correctness (specifically Bill C-16, which added transgenders to the list of protected groups under Canadian human rights law.) His Youtube page's popularity exploded, and his income through Patreon increased fifty-fold in less than a year.

He opposes bill C16 which adds Gender Identity to the Canada Bill Of Rights And Freedoms And has been all over the place on gay marriage .

He opposes teaching children about accepting gender identities

He has dog whistled in favor of gay conversion therapy

Well that sucks.  The guy rubs me the wrong way some but I find myself giving him begrudging props in places.

Nope.  Also news to me.  It'll be interesting to hear why he thinks this but I sure don't think he has all the answers.  Besides I hate this kind of book.  My wife is giving me all sorts of shit for checking it out because she reads a lot of this sort of shit and I rag on her about it.

Here in Kentucky we have over 40 inches of annual rain. Rocks just retain moisture. But the rain did not wreck my.roof. Skaters did.

He's also said women who wear makeup should not be allowed to complain about sexual assault (soon after he has been accused of sexual assault )

He thinks an argument can be made for rape inside of marriage

He thinks men and women should not work together

He thinks Feminists who are not overly critical of Islam secretly crave male dominance

Yes- do go for that "leafing aluminum" paint. Seals and reflects a boatload of sunshine.

BoT, I'll have to take a look at the videos when I have some time, tomorrow most likely.

Because he believes that religion is central to morality and without it we would all be moral nihilists

Also, he said that you need religion to quit smoking (starting 14:58):

I wish I was making this up. To be fair, he does concede that it can be simulated with magic mushrooms, but he does equivocate between a chemical reaction in the brain caused by introducing a known hallucinogen into the mix and the supernatural (which, by definition, goes beyond that).
