I'll bet a million dollars that if we google Maryam Monsef, we'll find this isn't after all a simple issue of gender equality. I'll bet a million dollars it leads pretty quickly to identity politics and some kind of PC fuckery.

You still don't know why he said that.  Have you googled what those words mean?  Have you googled her background, or that of the Liberal government in regard to them?

Come on, man, do a little legwork.  I'll do it with you if you like.  I'm a little suspicious that I won't like where it ends up, either.  If so, great.  But my criticism of Tiz earlier, and you now, isn't really that you're wrong about him.  It's that the way you've arrived at your opinion is sensational and weak-minded.

MY PREFERRED METHOD
Step one: really understand what he's trying to say and why
Step two: make a case against his position

YOUR PREFERRED METHOD
Step one: see words together you don't like to see together
Step two: get triggered, and assume you can make the call without bothering to understand

My method is better.  And if you are going to spend the next several pages slinging shit and saying you don't need to be bothered with collecting actual facts, then I'll put you in the "hot air" category with Tiz and Fox News.


Anyway, since this all started with the Canadian "pronouns" issue, why don't we find the actual statue, quote it in its entirety (here or in another thread) and see what it actually says?

Please bring some facts, and support your assertions. I'll even give you a list of fact-based discussion we could base a serious intellectual discussion on:

1) What exactly does the Canadian legislation for which Peterson became famous SAY? Is he right or wrong to oppose it? (We could link the statue and actually read it ourselves)
2) Why the fuck would he respond to a women's march in that way? What do the words mean, and what, exactly, is his beef with the woman he called out? (we could actually learn why they despise each other so much)
3) Why does he keep referring to women in his book as "chaos"? And why are there so many articles and interviews with academic women who seem so solidly interested in, and in support of, his ideas, if he's such a woman-hating pig? (we could see what those female academics SAY in their overt agreement with his stance, even his stance on women and men in society)

All of these might reveal him to be as you've portrayed him. But until you do the actual groundwork, I have to believe that you're just making shit up, i.e. projecting your own anxieties and insecurities as a liberal white man onto a bunch of out-of-context one-liners.

You know what's really hilarious?  That Benny immediately set off to google the lady, thinking it had something to do with her, rather than Petersons widely known and completely indisputable axe to grind with what he thinks are a bunch of marxists leading us off to the gulags and worse....lol.

Equity is a murderous doctrine..in his opinion. He doesn't make any bones about it. He doesn't deny it. It's his entire act.

He felt like sharing that in response to a tweet about a womens march, and how we all support womens rights. Somehow...that's going to get us all killed - just like it did in soviet russia! (lol)
