In UK atheists considred more moral than theists.
RE: In UK atheists considred more moral than theists.
I bet the thing God does to us atheists as a punishment for not loving him has something to do with suicide. He cranks up the pressure on us, or breaks our will, so that life is harder and more of us kill ourselves. Let's see if I'm right. I haven't checked the stats in irrelegious countries, but I bet this wouldn't hold up as an answer against the world average.

Aha, OK: God is not love - that makes sense.

Where there is love there is no law, but where there is law then punishment is required for those that transgress the law.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. it seems to me that god is whatever happens to support the theists particular whim that day.

Still not sure how it's any different to an abusive relationship.

Mr God commands you to love him. If not then you get punished.

All you need now is for your god to declare that you are nothing without him.

Oh , wait ...

Bible verses about being nothing without God

Not to be pedantic but that is not the definition of omniscient. You can try and suggested all knowing means he must therefore make perfect decisions but I would disagree that it necessarily follows.

To be considered pedantic you'd have to be right...

Go ahead and explain in the scenario in which someone who knows every outcome of every decision would make a mistake.

BDSM is a thing! And what you're saying here is what every abusive person ever says to the abused.

I thought BDSM was a two-person thing. What you said sounds more like what an abusive parent would say to a child who didn't learn all of Mozart during her first piano lesson.
