I ask that out of respect, when talking about future president Kanye West, you all refer to him as 'future president Kanye West' from now on.
If future president Kanye West wants to own a few slaves, I think he's earned it.
He's just Ye now.
I had been wondering how America would get a worse president than Trump, now I think we have a contender.
Listen, future president Kanye will make America better than great. So great that every american will have their own slave.

Future president Kanye is such a meme
"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped.
Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses.
Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder.
Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids."

You're wrong. He's not a bit of a gobshite and prick.
He's an utter, total, complete godshite and prick.

Am I getting KW wrong? I think he wants slavery, but limited to prisons.

I think future president Kanye is a very talented producer. But as far as I can tell, he's not very well-educated in pretty much anything else.

Why is it that whenever someone disagrees with a celebrity's political opinion they say: "They should stick to [x] and stay out of politics." It's like a script. Conservatives do it until a celebrity supports them and vice versa.
They're American citizens. They should be involved in politics, like all of us should.

No, he's making the known argument that the prison loophole in the 13th amendment led to essentially a second era of enslavement of African-Americans. This happened in the South for decades post-Reconstruction, and black people are still targeted for drug crimes at disproportionate rates. What's stupid is: the Republicans are the ones perpetuating it. So he has no idea what the hell he's saying.

To answer your question to me: Read what I bolded. You answered your own question. That's why. If someone is going to make a political statement, they should at the very least know what they are talking about. Celebrity or not. That goes for ANY American but maybe more so with people of influence. He has a following and he has youngsters that look up to him. As with anyone else in that sort of position - again celebrity status or not - if you are in a position where others look up to you, then you shouldn't say things that make you look stupid.
Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.
